Citadines Bay City Manila, A Rare Find In The Bay Area

Citadines Bay City Manila is a rare find quality service apartment in the bay area. As my family wanted to have a hassle-free trip for my graduation day, we decided to have a quick stay. Let me share a quick review of our experience.

LOCATION & CHECK-IN
The newly built service apartment is located behind W Mall along Diosdado Macapagal Blvd. cor. Coral Way, Pasay City. The check-in process was a breeze, and you just need to present the credit card you used when you booked through Agoda.com or Booking.com. They also suggest to sign up for their Ascott Star Rewards, which somehow offers a lower price than what I used for booking.

The front desk welcomes you with their warms smiles.

THE SUPERB ROOM

We opt for the 1-bedroom premier suite, and it was SUPERB! It is perfect for families and friends looking for a quick staycation. The room has a living room and dining room space. Enjoy your cooked meals as they have a kitchen complete with cooking wares and dining wares.

The queen size bed is perfect if you want to laze around the whole day. The bathroom was spacious enough to move, which pleased my mom and dad.

A washing machine is available for use. Ask for additional detergent if you need to. Iron and ironing boards are available, which fits business travelers.

AMENITIES, IN-ROOM MENU, and RESTAURANT
A gym and pool are available on the 5th floor of the service apartment. You may enjoy an additional boost as there is a bar fronting the pool. As we have no time to use both, we just lounge along the floor.

We have not tried the pool but its a perfect way to start your morning.

We tried their in-room menu and it was delicious. Ordered their carbonara for merienda and pork adobo for dinner. Serving sizes are good to share making it worthy of its price.

Carbonara, one of the options for Kid’s Meal.

The carbonara is a must-try for kids. Chicken tenders were not oily and it was creamy!

This pork adobo is a must-try for starters.

The pork adobo’s taste was incredibly delicious. The balance of spices played well into the pork’s tender meat. A great choice on the menu.

Bay City Cafe and the hallway to their function rooms.
Breads and cereals are available for those looking to get quick breakfast.
Salad options are available if you want to have some light meal.

The room includes two breakfast buffets, which you can avail at Bay City Cafe. Additional guests can have buffet breakfast at Php 650.00 per person. They offer bread, cereals, rice meals, selected cold cuts, and cheeses. They offer an Indian selection on that day as well. Bacon and scrambled eggs can be requested.

Just ask some random server to bring you a plate and you might get lucky to receive one. BACON!!!

The only thing to comment is that servers must be detailed and attentive. We need to ask servers thrice to serve us coffee, and water. When the coffee was served, it has a spillage, which I seem to feel as clumsy. You cannot question how great hotels or serviced apartments are, but focusing on details and can anticipate guests’ needs can make a difference for Citadines Bay City Manila. After all, they still have a lot of years to come.

Thank you Citadines staff for this awesome cake!

Also, I felt my mom shared that we are staying because of my graduation. Nevertheless, thank you for sending me a surprise congratulatory cake!

A RARE FIND
Citadines Bay City Manila is one of the best places to stay in the bay area. The location is just beside a mall and also near the SM Mall of Asia Complex. Manila airports are accessible through the NAIA Expressway and plenty of restaurants to choose from. I would love to schedule a longer stay in these apartments.

Request a room facing the bay area to get a glimpse of the sunset.
